Police are urgently seeking information to help find a missing man in the Conical Hill Track area of Hanmer Springs.

A police spokesman said 26 year old Patrick Eager was last seen about 9.55am today on the Conical Hill Track.

Patrick had been walking towards the summit with family members when he became separated.

He is described as 6 feet tall and of medium build, with dark brown hair in a number 2 style crew cut.

He was wearing black shoes, black track pants, and a black shirt with a green stripe.

The police spokesman said officers were particularly concerned for Patrick’s welfare as he is autistic, non verbal, unfamiliar with the area, and unlikely to seek assistance.

Search and Rescue teams have been deployed in the area.
