Police have formally identified the man who was found deceased on Horotane Valley Road in Heathcote Valley on 19 September.
The circumstances of the man’s death are now being examined by the Coroner.
At the time he was discovered, the man was believed to be in his 30s or 40s. He was wearing a black long-sleeved woollen jersey, black trousers, and brown and grey tramping boots.
A backpack was found with him, and police noted a distinctive birthmark on his left forearm, details previously released in an effort to help identify him.
