One person has died following a single-vehicle crash In Waimakariri.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Tram Road and North Eyre Road, West Eyreton at 8AM Sunday.

The road was blocked off, but was due to reopen after 11.30AM.

Police say Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
