Three people have died following a crash on Te Moana Road near Geraldine overnight.

A police spokesperson said emergency services were called to the scene at 1AM after a campervan collided with a barrier and caught fire.

Tragically all three occupants of the campervan were killed.

The Serious Crash Unit was called to the scene, and the road was reopened just before 7AM.
