ANZ customers reported problems accessing the bank’s digital services this morning, with hundreds of outage reports recorded within minutes.

Downdetector recorded 960 reports of problems with ANZ at 10.05am on Tuesday, compared with a baseline of zero.

Most reports relate to ANZ’s goMoney app. At 10.21am, 58 percent of problems reported through Downdetector related to goMoney, while 29 percent related to ANZ Internet Banking and 8 percent to ANZ Direct Online.

Customers are also reporting problems with EFTPOS, making payments and using ANZ cards.

An ANZ spokesperson said “customers experienced an intermittent issue logging into goMoney and Internet Banking. We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.

Services have now been restored.”
