The mother of missing Christchurch man Braydon Hepworth is pleading for information as her family faces another day without knowing where the 21 year old is.

Braydon was last seen on 3 September at the Z service station in Linwood.

His mother, Char Huntley, told Chris Lynch Media the uncertainty had become devastating for the family, particularly because Braydon has Type 1 diabetes and requires insulin every day.

“This is so traumatic and devastating not knowing anything,” Huntley said. “He is physically somewhere, so someone knows something.”

Braydon is described as Caucasian, about 6ft tall, with blonde hair, hazel eyes and a slim build.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, a Monster beanie, over ear headphones and carrying a backpack.

Huntley said there had been several possible sightings since he disappeared, but none had led to Braydon being found.

She said there had been no contact through his phone or bank account since 3 September. His last known address was in England Street, Linwood.

Huntley said she had carried out physical searches, contacted hospitals around the country and spoken with Braydon’s friends in an effort to find any information about his whereabouts.

“His dad and I are beside ourselves with worry for his safety, health and whereabouts.”

She said the family’s overriding concern was simply getting Braydon home.

“All I am wanting is Braydon back home safe, but I have run out of people and places myself to ask and look into or at.”

“I’m so scared for him. The more hours that go by, the more my heart breaks.”

“I love him and not knowing where he is at is breaking me apart.”
