Tributes are flowing for a much-loved 5-year-old girl who died at a Christchurch swimming pool.
Lytisha was found unresponsive at Waltham Pool at about 2.50PM on Wednesday.
Her mother’s sister wrote on a public Facebook donation page “my beautiful sister has lost her 5yr-old-daughter in a tragic accident.”
“As she is mourning the death of her daughter, she is still trying to keep it together for her other 3 kids.”
She said two of her other children found the unresponsive child, and money was being raised to provide them with counselling.
The sister said they reached their fundraising target.
Lytisha’s mother thanked the community on another community public Facebook page after a request was made for supplies for family members who were heading from the North Island to comfort immediate family.
Police staff were still at the public swimming pool late on Wednesday investigating the death.
Waltham Pool was closed today.
