► Scene examination underway after person found dead, another seriously injured in Bryndwr

A police scene examination is underway at a Bryndwr house where a person was found dead and another seriously injured.

As first reported by Chris Lynch Media, emergency services were called to the house on Eden Place at 6.20PM.

When police arrived, they found a person deceased inside the house.

A police spokeswoman said another person was transported to hospital in a serious condition.

A teenager, who arrived near the house said there had been a serious assault and his mother’s partner’s friend was the victim.

A neighbour told Chris Lynch Media four men lived in the house.

When asked to describe the occupants, the neighbour said there “was always yelling going on.”

It’s understood an argument had taken place at 8AM on Saturday on the street, but neighbours weren’t sure if the occupants at the house were involved.

Another neighbour said they had complained about occupants of the house “for the last three years” but didn’t say why.

Police officers were door-knocking neighbours asking if they heard or saw anything.

Many said they didn’t hear anything in the evening that would cause them any concerns.

Detectives were at the house.

Earlier in the evening, a St John Ambulance was parked up near the house, along with a rapid response unit.

At least eight police vehicles lined the short street, along with several undercover police units.

A police spokeswoman said “an examination will take place at the property this evening and a scene guard will be in place overnight.

“Anyone with information about what might have occurred, or who witnessed or heard anything suspicious, is asked to get in touch” the police spokeswoman said.
