A robbery has taken place at a St Albans restaurant this evening.

A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch Media the robbery was reported just after 9pm on Cranford Street.

Police have blocked off the entire carpark of Cranford Alehouse bar and restaurant.

Two armed police officers are guarding the scene.

The police spokeswoman said no one was injured during the incident.

She said armed police were in the area and making enquires.
