Emergency services responded to a single-vehicle crash on Weka Pass Road near Timpendean Road around 2pm today.

A St John spokesperson said a helicopter, a PRIME responder, and an ambulance were sent to the scene.

One person, in a moderate condition, was airlifted to Christchurch Hospital for treatment.

The road remains closed as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
