A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a crash in Christchurch.

A police spokesperson confirmed to chrislynchmedia.com that a car and a motorbike collided on the Belfast Road overbridge at 10.15PM last night.

A St John spokesperson said two ambulances responded to the scene and transported two patients, one in a serious condition and one in a moderate condition, to Christchurch Hospital.

Police were speaking the the driver of the car, the spokesperson said.
