Multiple police units are at a property on Momorangi Crescent in Redwood after reports of someone shouting about having a firearm.

A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch Media officers attended the property and were working to establish what had occurred.

“There is currently no indication anybody saw a weapon or that one existed,” she said.

A witness described significant commotion in the area.

“There was a lot of screaming from a woman threatening violence. I’ve never heard such a horrifying voice.”

Police remained at the scene late this morning while officers continued their enquiries.
