Emergency services are at the scene of a jet boat accident on the Rakaia River.

They were called to the area near Double Hill just after 7pm.

A police spokesperson confirmed to chrislynchmedia.com that a jet boat had flipped.

At least four people have been injured, but their injuries are not life-threatening.

Fire and Emergency crews from Methven have been called to the scene.
