Christchurch Police investigating the disappearance of Yanfei Bao are searching in new areas today.

In a statement, police said today’s search areas include Waterholes Road and Robinsons Road, Rolleston, Spalling Road and Te Kuru Wetland, Halswell, and Haul Road, McLeans Island.

“Staff will not be searching the Greenpark area today but future activity is being considered in that area.”

Chinese national Tingjun Cao was charged with murdering Bao, but has pleaded not guilty on both charges of murder and kidnapping.

He remanded in custody for a case review hearing on November 10.
