Christchurch police have blocked off a section of Marshland Road this afternoon as part of an ongoing operation.
Witnesses say the activity is focused between Prestons Road and Hawkins Road.
Traffic heading north is being diverted down Prestons Road.
Motorists have reported seeing a large convoy of police vehicles responding to an address on Marshland Road just after 3pM.
A police spokesperson told Chris Lynch Media the operation is related to a pre-planned warrant and involves a person of interest.
Video footage sent to Chris Lynch Media shows AOS members surrounding a property.
A police dog unit is also at the scene.
Another witness said the house as been raided by police.
