A light aircraft has crashed at Feilding Aerodrome.

Emergency services were notified that a small aircraft has crashed around 2pm.

A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch one person has sustained serious injuries.

Emergency services are attending the scene and the Civil Aviation Authority has been notified.

Taonui Rd has been closed and traffic management is in place, motorists are advised to avoid the area.
