The family of a missing 15-year-old boy is “beyond worried” he has not been home since Monday morning.
The boy’s uncle Henare Amko said John has been missing “since 6am yesterday and last seen on Matlock Street in Woolston around 10.30am today. He is meant to be with a boy called Tutekohe or Tu.”
Amko told Chris Lynch Media that, “John did not make it to school today nor has he come home. He is a big boy, with a ta moko on his right arm and is most likely still in these clothes from yesterday’s photos. If he is sitting with your child, send him home or send me a private message and I’ll come collect him.”
“We are beyond worried. We have moved here from up north and have no family here. We do not know who his friend he’s met is,” Amko added.
The police file number is P056000961 for anyone with information about John’s whereabouts.
