Woolworths has completed the conversion of its New Brighton supermarket, marking it as the 150th store to transition from the former Countdown brand.
The refurbishment included upgraded store livery and décor, new lighting, replacement and revamping of refrigeration systems, and the introduction of self service checkouts.
Staff areas were also improved, and maintenance issues with services cases were addressed.
The milestone means more than 80 per cent of Woolworths stores across New Zealand have now been converted from Countdown.
A Woolworths spokesperson said the upgrades were part of the company’s commitment to improving the shopping experience and supporting the growth of New Brighton.
