EcoSort recycling facility open day
Have you ever wondered what happens to your recycling once it’s been collected? Christchurch’s recycling facility is opening its doors to residents on Saturday from 9am – 1pm. The EcoSort facility, which is usually closed to the public, will be offering a chance for people to check out the recent $16.8m upgrade, get up close to one of the recycling collection trucks, and chat to the team about the recent national kerbside changes. The Ocean-Above, Below and Around
Seaweek 2024 has been underway throughout the week and is now coming to its end, but not without a final event. Explore the rocky shore, participate in Citizen Science, and use VR to get up close to our marine environment this Saturday. Off Centre
Explore the best of Te Mataiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre at the arts festival, Off Centre, this weekend. For two nights and one day from 8 – 9 March, The Arts Centre will be packed with music, comedy, circus, theatre, food and vibrant entertainment. Drawing Connections exhibition
A new exhibition at Tūranga, Drawing Connections, is kicking off this weekend!. Drawing Connections examines the architectural legacy of Cecil Wood, showcasing a selection of superb interwar architectural drawings from the collections of Macmillan Brown Library and Tūranga. The drawings reveal Wood’s artistic skills and architectural evolution, exploring the cultural and historical contexts of buildings in Ōtautahi Christchurch. Drawing Connections will be on at the central city library until 19 May.
