Two people were injured after a crash involving a bus and a car on Ferry Road this morning.

A police spokeswoman told chrislynchmedia.com emergency services were called to the crash about 8.05am.

A St John spokesman said they responded with an ambulance and two rapid response vehicles.

Two patients were assessed at the scene, with one taken to Christchurch Hospital by ambulance in a moderate condition.

The road has since been cleared.
