Emergency services are at the scene of a two car crash in central Christchurch.

They were called to the corner of Deans Avenue and Blenheim Road at 11.15PM.

Two vehicles appear to have collided head on.

Chris Lynch Media understands one of the drivers left the scene on foot, and emergency services were looking for him.

Deans Avenue has been blocked off in the north bound lane while emergency crews tend to the injured.

Fire and Emergency crews were at the scene along with multiple St John ambulances.
