Emergency services are at the scene of a crash at a busy Christchurch intersection.

A police spokesperson told chrislynchmedia.com the crash at the intersection of Colombo Street and Brougham Street was reported about 5.20pm.

Two people have been injured, one seriously and the other moderately.

One of the vehicles collided with a sign near a building.

Fire and Emergency crews were called to assist.
