Emergency services are at a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Madras St and Tuam Street where one of the vehicles has flipped upside down.

The crash happened around 11:30am.

A woman was pulled from the upside down car and transported to hospital to be assessed.

A police spokesman said the road is blocked and traffic is being diverted down Lichfield Street.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible.
