Christchurch police are investigating two burglaries overnight.
A police spokeswoman said police were notified of a burglary on Innes Road around 12:15am last night.
A group of people smashed a window and took items from the commercial premises.
Chris Lynch Media understands it was the BP on Innes Road.
Then at 4AM police were called to a burglary on Greers Road.
A group of people allegedly were using tools to break into a store.
They were disturbed by a member of the public and ran from the scene.
Enquiries are ongoing the police spokesperson said.
