Canterbury police have blocked off several streets in Rangiora this morning.

A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch Media police are executing a warrant looking for a person of interest on Oxford Road.

A motorist said she saw multiple police units heading to the scene in convey along with an ambulance following closely behind.

A Rangiora resident said police road blocks were in place near the High Street and West Belt roundabout.
