Police are appealing for information after a man threatened a Lincoln resident with a weapon during an aggravated burglary.

Detective Senior Sergeant Jo Carolan said a man entered a home on Jacobsens Place without permission about 11.15pm on Thursday 16 July.

“When confronted by one of the occupants, the man allegedly threatened the victim with a weapon before quickly fleeing the property on foot,” she said.

The victim was not injured, but Carolan said both occupants of the home were understandably very shaken.

Police carried out immediate area enquiries with the help of a police dog, but no one was found.

The offender is described as a man in his mid-20s to early 30s, although police say he could be outside that age range, roughly 170cm tall, of unknown ethnicity.

He was wearing a dark coloured hoodie with the hood up and a black face mask showing only his eyes.

Carolan said police want to hear from anyone on Jacobsens Place or surrounding roads who has CCTV footage from between 10.45pm and 11.59pm that night.

“Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area around the same time, or has information on this specific incident, who was involved, or the weapon used, is also urged to contact Police,” she said.
