Families are being invited to celebrate the arrival of spring with a free community fair packed with food, games, entertainment and market stalls.
The Rolleston Christian School Spring Fair will be held on Saturday, September 19, from 10am to 2pm at the school on Springston Rolleston Road.
Entry is free, with activities planned for children and adults throughout the day.
Spring Fair committee member and school parent Suzy Yandall said the event was being made possible through community donations, local support and the hard work of volunteers.
“We are working within a very limited budget, and all funds raised at our fair will go directly back to our school,” Yandall said.
Money raised will be used to purchase much needed sports equipment and musical instruments, giving students more opportunities to learn, play and develop their talents.
Organisers hope the fair will provide an affordable day out for families while also bringing the wider Rolleston community together.
Visitors will be able to grab something to eat, try their luck at the games, browse the market stalls and enjoy family entertainment.
“Every purchase, game, donation and contribution will help us get closer to our fundraising goal and make a lasting difference for our school community,” Yandall said.
“We would love people to gather their whānau, invite their friends and come along for a fun community day.”
