More of the South Island has been issued with heavy rain warnings.
Southland, Buller, Tasman, and inland Marlborough have now been upgraded to Orange Rain Warnings, while new Watch areas have been added for both heavy rain and strong winds.
The West Coast will remain under an Orange Rain Warning until Thursday evening.
