A man has been rushed to hospital after suffering a medical event at Jellie Park Recreation and Sports Centre.
Christchurch City Council Head of Recreation, Sports and Events Nigel Cox told Chris Lynch Media “one of our pool users felt a tightening in their chest and an ambulance was called. The facility remains open.
A St John spokesperson said they were notified of an incident at Burnside just after 9AM.
St John responded with one ambulance and one rapid response unit.
“We have assessed and treated one patient in a moderate condition who was transported to Christchurch hospital.”
