A two vehicle crash has blocked a busy intersection in Lincoln, leaving two people injured and prompting a response from the Serious Crash Unit.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Boundary Road and Springs Road at about 12.15pm.

Two people were injured in the crash and required medical attention.

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised and enquiries are underway.

Motorists were being urged to avoid the area and use alternative routes while the scene was being managed.
