A Christchurch Lotto player is $1 million richer after winning Lotto First Division in Wednesday night’s live draw.

The winning ticket was purchased online through MyLotto by a player based in Christchurch.

Powerball was not struck and has rolled over to Saturday night, when the jackpot will climb to $6 million.

Meanwhile, a Strike Four ticket worth $400,000 was sold at Unichem Stortford Lodge Pharma in Hastings. Lotto NZ is encouraging anyone who bought a ticket from the store to check it as soon as possible, either in-store, on MyLotto, or using the MyLotto app.

As part of Lotto NZ’s Mother’s Day promotion, 50 extra prizes of $20,000 are also up for grabs. All Triple Dip tickets bought between Sunday 27 April and 7.30pm on Saturday 17 May will go into the draw.
