A rare convergence of global entertainment figures has landed in Christchurch, with two major events scheduled at separate venues.
Cliff Richard, the British singer whose career spans eight decades and more than 250 million records sold, will perform his “Can’t Stop Me Now” tour at the Christchurch Town Hall on Wednesday 19 November 2025.
According to official tour information, this show is already listed as sold out.
Meanwhile, Priscilla Presley will appear at the Isaac Theatre Royal on the same evening, Wednesday 19 November 2025, for her event “An Evening With Priscilla Presley: Life After Elvis”.
In her show she will recount personal stories and reflections following her years married to rock-and-roll icon Elvis Presley.
The connection between the two visiting stars was highlighted by a social-media post from Cliff Richard in which he shared a photo of himself and Priscilla Presley together in Christchurch. His message read:
“What a gorgeous evening spent together, I cherish those moments, they light up my life.”
For local fans this double star-presence in Christchurch represents an unusual opportunity: two very different shows, both on the same date, by internationally recognised artists.
