Emergency services were called to a accident early the morning after a car crashed into a tree in Linwood.
A police spokeswoman told chrislynchmedia.com police received a request to attend a car versus tree just before 2am on Linwood Avenue.

Three ambulances, two rapid response units, and one operations manager attended the scene.
Two patients, one in serious condition and one in moderate condition, were transported to Christchurch Hospital, a St John spokesman said.
