Emergency services are at the scene of a crash after a car smashed into a house in Burwood.

The crash was reported just before 10.30pm on Burwood Road near QEII Drive.

Fire and Emergency crews were at the scene.

A local resident said the vehicle left the road, drove through St Lukes Church carpark, through an hedge, and smashed through a window, breaking through part of the house wall.

The occupants of the house were shaken by the incident, but were uninjured.

Two occupants of the vehicle were sitting inside a police car, the resident said, although it was unclear whether they were arrested.
