Ashburton’s newest multimillionaire has claimed $28.6 million from Lotto, but their identity remains a secret.

The dream has become reality for one Powerball player from Ashburton, who won in Wednesday night’s live draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Four Square Netherby in Ashburton.

The prize is made up of $28 million from Powerball First Division and from Lotto First Division.

A Lotto spokeswoman told ChrisLynchmedia.com the winner had now claimed.

“We don’t have any further information to share about the win at this stage but should have more for you early next week,” the spokeswoman said.
