Ashburton Powerball player wins $28.2 million

The dream has become a reality for one lucky Powerball player from Ashburton after winning $28.2 million with Powerball First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Four Square Netherby in Ashburton.

The prize is made up of $28 million from Powerball First Division and $200,000 from Lotto First Division.

Tonight’s winner is the eleventh Powerball multi-millionaire this year, and the win comes after an Auckland player scored themselves $5.5 million in April.

Four other lucky Lotto players will also be celebrating after winning $200,000 with Lotto First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw. The winning tickets were sold at New World Browns Bay in Auckland, Glen Innes Dairy and Lotto Outlet in Auckland and Four Square Netherby in Ashburton.

Meanwhile, a lucky Strike player will also be celebrating after winning $200,000 with Strike Four. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Park Night N Day in Timaru.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores should check their ticket as soon as possible in-store or through the MyLotto App.
