Emergency services have been called to a section of Main South Road in Selwyn following a two vehicle crash reported just before 7.30am.

One person has died.

A police spokesman said they were attending the scene at the intersection with Telegraph Road, and road users were asked to delay their journeys or use an alternative route.

The Serious Crash Unit has been called to the scene.

A police spokesperson said traffic control was in place between Selwyn Lake Road and Telegraph Road while crews worked at the scene.

“Motorists are advised to avoid the area while emergency services respond.”
