Three vehicles involved in separate burglaries in Christchurch

Three vehicles were used in separate burglaries overnight.

In the first incident, police received a report of a burglary at a commercial premises on Christchurch Akaroa Road, Tai Tapu about 3am.

A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch an unknown number of offenders entered the store and took several items.

The offenders then fled the scene in three vehicles.

Police located one of the vehicles and two offenders were subsequently taken into custody.

Enquiries are ongoing to locate the other people involved in the incident.

In the second incident, police received a report of a burglary at a commercial premises on Takaro Avenue, Sockburn about 4.35am.

An unknown number of offenders entered the store and took several items.

The offenders then fled the scene in two vehicles.

Enquiries are ongoing to locate those responsible.
