An 18-year-old man was arrested in central Christchurch last night after assaulting a person.

A St John spokeswoman told Chris Lynch Media St John was notified of an incident on St Asaph St at 8.56 on Friday.

They responded with one ambulance to the scene.

“We assessed and treated one patient who was transported to Christchurch hospital in a moderate condition.”
