A man has been arrested after an incident at a Christchurch public swimming pool this afternoon.

An eyewitness said the man was walking around the Graham Condon pool in Papanui naked.

“People were a little freaked out by what they saw, it was a bit of a strange thing to see.”

A police spokeswoman said a man was taken into custody at the pool just before 3.30PM after he entered the pool area and took his clothes off.

The pool remains open to the public.
