Canterbury police are investigating after a person’s body was found at a residential address in Rangiora last night.

A police spokespeson said police were called to the Tyler Street at 7.40pm.

The person’s death is currently being treated as unexplained and a scene guard was in place overnight.

The derelict property has been cordoned off and a police tent has been set up outside the property on the road.

The police spokesperson said Tyler Street residents can expect to see a continued police presence today as officers conduct further enquiries.
