Four fire crews are responding to a house fire on Logie Place in Bromley.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand shift manager Blair Walklin told chrislynchmedia.com crews were called at 4.30pm.
He said the house was well ablaze when the first crews arrived.
Everyone at the property had been accounted for.
It was too early to determine how the fire started.
Police were called to manage traffic around the scene.
