Police have apprehended a 14-year-old Waimakariri youth following vandalism and damage reported at the Taggart Earthmoving site in Ravenswood, North Canterbury.

The incident occurred in November last year at the new subdivision, located just north of Woodend.

The 14-year-old has been referred to Waimakariri Police Youth Aid Section.

North Canterbury Police said it’s a positive outcome and is a result of many hours of work and numerous enquiries.

Youth offending is an issue that Police are working with other agencies to address.
