Person dies after two-vehicle crash in Spotswood

A person has died after a two-vehicle crash in Spotswood this morning.

Emergency services were called to Parnassus Road (SH1) near McPhersons Stream Bridge about 8.33am.

The person died in hospital, a police spokesperson told Chris Lynch Media.

The Serious Crash Unit and Commercial Vehicle Safety Team have examined the scene.

Parnassus Road remains closed while the vehicles are removed.
