Two people have been injured, including one critically, following a two vehicle crash in Rolleston.

Emergency services were notified of the crash around 7.20am at the intersection of Jones Road and Curraghs Road.

A St John spokesman said two ambulances and two rapid response units were sent to the scene.

“Our ambulance staff treated two patients at the scene and transported them to Christchurch Hospital, one in a critical condition and the other in a moderate condition.”

A police spokeswoman said the Serious Crash Unit attended the scene.
