Multiple fire crews are at the scene of a house fire in Rolleston.

Fire and Emergency Shift Manager Simon Lyford told Chris Lynch Media they received multiple calls to the fire at Brookside Park at about 11:15am.

Crews from Rolleston and Burnham Military Camp were initially dispatched. Due to the size of the fire, additional crews were called from Lincoln and Wigram fire stations.

Lyford said the house was well involved by the time the first crews arrived.

Police are also at the scene, and the public is being urged to stay away from the area, particularly near Dunns Crossing and Lowes Road, where there is a significant emergency services presence.
