Christchurch Police are continuing their investigation into a shooting in Hornby on Christmas Day and are again appealing for information from the public.
Police said they received reports shortly after 6.30pm on 25 December of a man being chased by others in the Hornby area, with one person believed to be in possession of a firearm.
A person was later taken to hospital with a suspected gunshot wound. Police said the injury was not life threatening.
Detective Sergeant Luke Vaughan said a 19 year old man, who is already before the courts, is due to reappear in the Christchurch District Court on Wednesday on additional charges.

“The charges now include presenting a firearm, among other offences,” Vaughan said.
Police are continuing enquiries and are asking further witnesses to events in the Springs Road and Aymes Road area to come forward.
Vaughan said investigators are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage from around the time of the incident who has not yet spoken with Police.
