Multiple Fire and Emergency crews have spent six hours at the scene of a fire overnight.
Fire and Emergency Shift Manager Simon Lyford told chrislynchmedia.com the service received the first call to Trents Road in Prebbleton at 1.15am.
Crews from Wigram responded first, along with a tanker from Rolleston. Firefighters at the scene then requested further support from Rolleston and another tanker from Lincoln.

As the fire intensified, crews from Spreydon were required, along with a second tanker from Christchurch City Station.
The fire, initially described as a hedge fire, stretched about 50 metres in length, but as this video shows, the flames were extremely intense. At one point, the fire jumped the road, prompting additional support from Ilam Station.
The fire was contained at 1.55am, and a four wheel drive vehicle was called in from West Melton to give firefighters better access to the blaze.
Lyford said council crews were required to maintain traffic control, and a fire investigator has been called to the scene.
All appliances except the four wheel drive unit left the scene at 7.30am.
