Waimakariri Labour candidate Dan Rosewarne says he’s disappointed after most of his billboards were vandalized overnight.

One hoarding was spray painted with the words “baby killer” while another said “killing unborn babies.”

Another billboard was spray painted with a Nazi swastika symbol.

Chris Lynch Media was made aware of the vandalism after a family member of Mr Rosewarne tagged his Facebook post in a private message.

The family member asked to “get the same kind of airtime that the National Party got when they came out accusing Labour supporters of vandalism.”

Dan Rosewarne had a message for the perpetrator.

“You are more than welcome to voice your concerns in person & I am more than happy to listen.“

He says he holds regular street corner meetings which are advertised on his facebook page in advance.

“It will also give me the opportunity to chat about who I am and why I’m serving as the Labour Candidate in this fantastic electorate.”

It follows yesterday’s incident where a National supporter received an anonymous note calling them a “low life” for placing a National billboard on their residential fence in Waimakariri.
