Man arrested for “threatening behaviour” in Sockburn

One person has been taken into custody after making threats at a property on Main South Road in Sockburn.

A Police spokesperson said the incident took place early this morning, just after 7am.

Chris Lynch Media understands the incident took place near the BP Station, with numerous police cars attending the scene.

A 40-year-old man is due to appear in Christchurch District Court on Thursday 2 October, charged with unlawfully being in an enclosed yard or area, and behaving in a threatening way.
